Celebrity Talk is committed to accurate, fair, and responsible reporting. When we get something wrong, we fix it openly, promptly, and without hesitation.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

Everything we write at Celebrity Talk is based on accuracy. Our readers depend on us for trustworthy news, stories and commentary about the entertainment sector, and we take that obligation seriously. We hold every piece we publish to a level of factual correctness, fair portrayal, and responsible sourcing. We try to confirm all the information we publish using several reliable sources. We fact check, verify dates, names and quotes, and do not post speculation disguised as truth. If there is a story developing, we make that obvious, and we update with confirmed information as it comes in.

Our Core Standard

There is no amendment too tiny to make. We are committed to immediately and transparently rectifying any factual errors, however slight, in whatever we post.

How We Handle Corrections

Assessment: Our editorial team will investigate the reported error and evaluate the extent and seriousness of the problem, whether it is a minor factual inaccuracy, a misquotation, a major factual error, or a matter of context.

Verification: Reliable primary or secondary sources are used to verify the right information before any modifications are made. We do not post a correction until we are certain the new information is right.

Correction: We update the item and add a correction notice clearly marked at the top or bottom of the piece, describing what was changed and when.

Notification: If a reader has filed the error report, we will try to acknowledge their input, either by replying directly or in the repair note itself.

All corrections are recorded internally with a time stamp and what was modified as part of our editorial accountability record.

We do not take down erroneous articles without comment. Content is only removed if it is legally sensitive, irrevocably deceptive or risks causing harm and in all these circumstances, a note explaining the removal will be placed in its place.

Correction Transparency

We believe in transparency in corrections as much as we believe in the repairs. Quietly modified articles with no indication of the change are not in keeping with our editorial standards.

  • All major corrections are listed in the article with a prominent remedy Notice explaining the original error and the remedy made.
  • The editing staff may silently repair minor errors, such as misspellings or grammatical mistakes, that do not change the message.
  • Factual adjustments to names, dates, quotes, numbers or substantive statements are always expressly noted.
  • Corrections add a date stamp so readers know when an update occurred.
  • We do not make retroactive adjustments or change the date of publication to cover up when edits were made.
  • We may also use our social media channels to flag major corrections to prominent articles.

Our Promise

We would never just ignore a mistake as if it never happened. Our readers need to know when something has changed and why.

Reader Feedback & Reporting Errors

Our readers are an important part of our accuracy process. We actively invite you to tell us if you think something we have written is factually incorrect, deceptive or unjust. Reader reports are checked by a senior member of our editorial staff.

To assist us in investigating your report as quickly as possible, please include:

  • The title or URL of the article you are referring to
  • Detailed description of specific error or issue
  • Where applicable, a reliable source or reference that supports the accurate information.
  • Your contact details (optional, but useful if we need to follow up)

We try to acknowledge all error complaints within 48 hours, and to make substantive corrections within 5 working days. This can take longer if legal issues or third-party verification are involved and are more complex; we will keep you updated accordingly.

Contact for Corrections

All correction requests, factual disagreements and editorial concerns should be sent to our editorial team. We take every submission seriously, no matter how little the issue.

Content Updates

Celebrity and entertainment news moves quickly. So an article this morning could be old news by this afternoon. We differentiate two sorts of content changes:

  • Corrections – Changes made because the information was wrong at the time of publishing. They are always tagged with a correction note.
  • Updates – Modifications to reflect new developments in a continuing story. These have an “Updated” time-stamp and a brief notice of what’s new.

Substantive revisions that modify the meaning or tone of an article in a major way are handled with the same level of transparency as corrections. For context, an editorial note can sometimes refer to earlier versions of articles that have been substantially altered.

Information which is out of date owing to the passage of time, e.g. biographical facts or relationship statuses, may be updated from time to time as part of ordinary editorial maintenance, with an updated date displayed on the page.

Editorial Independence

Our corrections and editorial processes are not influenced by commercial, advertiser and other third parties. No individual, publicist, PR agency or commercial partner can conceal, delay or edit a correction on our site.

All corrections are decided exclusively by the Editorial Team of Celebrity Talk and are based on factual accuracy, journalistic standards and fairness to all concerned.

Requests to remove correct information, to change quotes or to unpublish stories for reputational grounds, not factual, are not granted. We will always listen to concerns expressed by those who are the subject of our coverage, and will swiftly and without prejudice fix any true inaccuracies.

Sponsored content and partnerships are clearly identified as such and are subject to the same accuracy standards as our editorial material. Advertisers don’t have any influence on our rectification procedure.

  • We may issue interim updates at any time if there are major changes in our operations or applicable requirements.
